Updates Automatically Enabling New Bank Rec Feature
Has your Feature Update: Standardized bank reconciliation and deposits been automatically enabled with a Microsoft update?!?
We have had multiple customers who were using the NA Bank Rec in Dynamics BC and suddenly they log in to BC and start to do a bank reconciliation and they will get the following error. “There are ongoing reconciliations for this bank account in which entries are matched”.
If you then go to Feature Management and you attempt to change the feature to “None” you will get this message.
What has happened is that somehow the feature has been enabled and there were unposted bank reconciliations in process. Since these bank reconciliations were in process and not posted it will not allow you to disable the feature. It will also alert you to as to what companies have bank reconciliations in process.
The steps to resolve this are to delete any open bank reconciliations in all companies and even in Cronus. You will need to switch companies and delete all open bank reconciliations by highlighting the bank reconciliation and choosing Process then Delete.
After deleting all bank reconciliations then log back into your production company and search for Feature Management in the Tell Me. Change the Enable for from All Users to None and it should now work. You will need to sign out of BC and sign back in.
If you go back into the bank reconciliation list pages you will see a bank reconciliation in process even though you deleted all the bank reconciliations. If you finalize this bank reconciliation and then post it you could then enable the new standardized feature if you are ready to move to the new bank reconciliation. This feature is going to be automatically enabled in the Update 22.0 which is set for Q2 2023.
