1096 Feature in Dynamics Business Central
As you are starting to prepare for year end tasks you may notice there is a new feature notification on the 1099 Form Boxes page.
There is a new IRS 1096 form feature! You do need to activate it on the feature management page.
To activate the feature you need to search for Feature Management in the Tell Me (Alt + Q)
Choose Feature: Enable using Form 1096 to transmit paper Tax Forms to the IRS in the United States
This will launch the wizard and choose Next.
You will need to setup a new no series for the 1096.
Create a new series
Choose Finish
You need to change it from None to All Users
You will need to log out and log back into BC.
Now you are ready to use the 1096 feature!
